We typically use USPS, and most shipments arrive within 8 business days of placing your order (though it will likely take longer during the holidays). You will be provided with a tracking number upon shipment so that you may track your package's progress. Please note that all packages are shipped to “deliver without signature” to ensure that the delivery will be made on the day scheduled.
Once PRMRY ships out an order, we are unfortunately no longer responsible for the package if it's stolen, lost, or delayed unexpectedly by the mail carrier.
Once the package has shipped, there is unfortunately nothing we can do to change the mailing address. That said, please feel free to contact us, and if we can catch the package before it heads out in the mail, we'll happily modify the address.
If your olive oil sits out in the heat, yes! As such, please plan to be home to receive your olive oil upon its delivery.

Olives, Olive Oil & Storage
We source our olives from various locations in California, always prioritizing quality above all else. This means that we may occasionally change olive varieties and where we source our olives. For our 2021 harvest, our current ENHANCE olives are sourced from a single estate in California’s Central Valley. Meanwhile, our TRANSFORM olives came from a single estate in Woodland, California. Our olives are picked in the fall, and then swiftly taken for milling and filtration.
Olive oil should be kept in a cool place without direct sunlight, because, while the bottles are protected from light with their UV-coating, sunlight can still heat the bottle up. A shady spot on your counter that isn't right next to the stove would be best.
If your olive oil smells like crayons or old nuts, and leaves a greasy film in your mouth, it's probably gone rancid (you can read more about this here). This can happen due to exposure to air, heat and light — and will eventually happen to all olive oils over time. If you've just received your order and think it's rancid, please let us know immediately, as it may have been exposed to heat in transit (on a hot mail truck, for example). If you've had your olive oil for a while and you think it's rancid, it may be because you've had it open for more than four months, more than a year and a half or two has passed since harvest, or that it has been stored too close to a heat source or direct light.
Probably not a good plan. Olive oil isn't like wine: it doesn't get better with time, so plan to use it up within a few months of opening.
Probably three to four months or so (but possibly up to six months depending on storage). That's because the more air that enters inside your bottle (as you slowly use it) the more your olive oil will oxidize and go rancid. Store in a cool place away from the sun to ensure your olive oil's longevity.
Your olive oil should be good for at least a year and a half after harvest (which we note both on the product page, but also on the bottle's closure label), or a few months or more after opening. This of course also depends on proper storage; if stored optimally (away from heat, light and air), a good extra virgin could easily last for at least two years unopened.
No, and in fact it can change the composition of your olive oil and therefore negatively affect its quality.
Yes, yes and yes! Given that EVOO is made of 100% olive juice, it is by nature vegan and gluten-free. And because extra virgin is produced without being heated up, and never comes in contact with any non-kosher oils, it is also kosher.
PRMRY's bottles are sealed with a wooden closure, and made of glass coated with eco-friendly, organic, UV spray. This means your oil is protected from light and the harmful oxidation it causes. That said, it's important to keep your oil away from heat, so avoid storing it in sunlight or near a stove or other heat source.
You bet! Just remove the internal pour spout with pliers, and the label with water, and once washed the bottles can be used for all sorts of things, from vases to soap dispensers and more.
If your bottle of olive is from our 2020 harvest, then yes! Our spouts are meant to control the pour so that the oil doesn't glug out uncontrollably, or make a big mess; PRMRY is meant for generous drizzling. To speed up pouring, hold at a 45-degree angle and drizzle in a side-to-side motion. And if you're not feeling the spout, no sweat: with pliers it can easily be removed and replaced with a cork or spout of your choice.
Our labels are made out of a grease-proof paper. That means they can get all sorts of greasy, and the grease can just be wiped off without staining.
The bottle closure is covered with a transparent, compostable seal made of sustainably sourced wood pulp (*not* plastic).

All sales are final when the order is placed. Due to the nature of our goods, please understand that we cannot accept any returns. That said, please inspect your package immediately upon arrival. In the event of breakage, leakage, or if you received the wrong item, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your shipment and we will be happy to replace your items. Be sure to take pictures of the shipment needing replacement.
